There are images that epitomize a destination, capturing the uniqueness of that place and could not be confused for anywhere else. To me, nothing depicts the beauty of Hawaii better than the local flora. Tropical flowers are everywhere in Hawaii and although this is merely a visual image, I can almost smell the scents lingering emanating from the photos. Especially when I look at the white Plumeria. These are the flowers used most often in the leis which can range in scent from sweet to fruity to citrusy. It's said that because of this range the actual fragrance is hard to describe, and locals say it just smells...like a Plumeria, for me, it smells like Hawaii. Breathe deep.
