Singapore: February 2025
Singapore is a small, affluent island nation and city-state situated in Southeast Asia, renowned for its vibrant economy, diverse culture, and clean, modern infrastructure. It's renowned for its high safety standards, clean public spaces, low crime rate, and an easy, efficient transportation system considered one of the best in the world.
There’s a lot to see and do in Singapore, and I think it’s a great layover destination.
While there, I took the opportunity to see the world's tallest indoor waterfall, standing at 40 meters, at the Jewel Changi Airport; browsing the shops and stopping for a flat white in the Marina Bay Sands resort; visiting the aquarium at Sentosa Island; exploring the atmosphere of Little India; or getting some close up photos of the orchids in the botanic gardens. But my favourite experience was listening to a curated music experience choreographed with lights beneath the 18 Supertrees at the Gardens by the Bay. I managed to go twice, lying on the ground, with the lights illuminating the golden age of opera music.
